"You are gifted for this. You can do this. You have been called to do this."
I say that to you all often. You've got a job. You've got a role as a father, a mother, a son, a daughter, and many other roles in life. Unlike the world, we don't get those positions because we have all those skills and abilities. We get these positions because God calls us. If you are a father, you've been called to be one, and you can do it. If you are a mother, you've been called to be one, and you can do it.
The gospel is so good. Where did you see the gospel at work this week?
"What about baptism? Can we talk about baptism?"
I got a call to use the family center the other day. During that same call, they said, "Let's talk about baptism". I was so glad to. Baptism isn't magic, but it is magnificent. It will do more for you and your loved ones than you can imagine.
Will you please pray for Jackie and her child?
"Gracious God, we thank you for bringing us into your family and welcoming new people to your family through the precious gift of baptism. We pray that you would work in Jackie's life and begin to create a new spirit in her. Show her sin so that she can see her Savior."
